La Butte sur Plouider

We were traveling between Brest and Roscoff and, quite by chance, we had dinner at Le Bistrot de la Butte: a very pleasant experience, a warm welcome, excellent cuisine and a fine wine selection, a very spacious dining room with a magnificent view! A very, very pleasant surprise; we will definitely return. And as promised, we did return (April 2026). While the food and service were still top-notch, what a disappointment the wines were: a majority of French wines, which often held some… uncontrolled surprises. A real shame for lovers of classic wines like ourselves… hence 4 stars instead of 5.

A very pleasant stay, impeccable comfort and cleanliness, delicious food, a wonderful and generous breakfast with some lovely surprises. The staff were very friendly, always smiling and welcoming.

A wonderful stay at La Butte, where we spent one night and dined at La Table de la Butte, which truly deserves its Michelin star and green star. The service was impeccable, with attentive, warm, and passionate staff. A special mention goes to the Breton butter tasting with delicious bread from Le Fournil bakery! And then there was breakfast in the morning... A delight, with homemade products and flavors to discover. All this in a calm and welcoming atmosphere, respecting their ecological values. A big thank you, we will be back and we will recommend you!

We had the opportunity to try all the services offered during a weekend at La Butte: the gourmet restaurant, the bar, the hotel of course, and even the spa treatments with access to the refuge. Everything was absolutely perfect: the setting, the elegant decor, the choice of materials. The restaurant service was extraordinary; thank you for your warm welcome and professionalism. A special mention goes to the head waiter and sommelier, who clearly has a passion for his work, as well as to the young Canadian for his smile and kindness! The dishes were perfect, and so were the wines. The bar is also very good, with lovely products on offer. And thank you to Léa for the treatment, her gentleness, and her kindness. A truly rejuvenating experience in an establishment dedicated to well-being.

Exceptional dishes A magnificent view of Goulven Bay

We took advantage of a gift voucher and spent an evening and a night at this lovely establishment in Plouider (Finistère). We had a reserved table in the brasserie and enjoyed the €32 set menu (starter, main course, and dessert). It was absolutely delicious. Vegetarians—like myself—will find dishes to suit their taste, but beware of the appetizer, which at this time of year was asparagus, as it contained small cubes of pork. The staff throughout the establishment were very friendly. The room was lovely, well soundproofed, and had a view of the surrounding countryside, as well as a comfortable bathroom.

A very pleasant and peaceful place… my least favorite thing was the bathroom, which offers no privacy since the wall separating it from the bedroom is transparent with a sheer curtain: this must be for the sea view. Otherwise, it was a wonderful experience. Go there when you want to be pampered and enjoy!

The setting was very pretty. The atmosphere was pleasant. The brunch had a few drawbacks. Several oysters were unopened. The poached egg was undercooked. The shredded meat dish was served cold. The ingredients themselves were of good quality. I'm disappointed, given the restaurant's reputation. Sorry.

It was absolutely perfect. Thank you to La Butte, a refined, elegant, and above all, unpretentious place. Everything is meticulously planned, from the room to the wellness area and the food. Thank you also to the welcoming and warm staff. I sincerely commend the excellence of this place.
