Hello, I'm from Bayonne. I spent a few days in December and February in the 20th arrondissement of Paris, and my friend introduced me to this little bistro, La Cagnotte, where we had our morning coffee, sometimes a glass of white wine, at lunchtime and in the evening. We went for a final drink on the evening of February 14th after a dance at a community center in Montreuil, and to our surprise, it was 11:30 pm, the place was packed, and there was music provided by a DJ dressed all in red. Frankly, it was fantastic, and we left around 1:30 am... whether it's morning, afternoon, or evening. The staff is always excellent, and the welcome is very warm. In tribute to a dear friend we sadly lost four months ago, we met up with friends at this bar he loved so much. It felt good to see each other again after years of not really seeing each other. We had a wonderful time: the atmosphere was fantastic, the music perfect, and the staff incredibly attentive. A warm and welcoming place that I highly recommend for a relaxing and reconnecting experience. 😉

04/12/2025: Back in Paris, and the rain actually did me a favor. I was on my way to dinner when a sudden downpour pushed me into Milton à Bar in the 9th, and honestly, I’m glad it did. I ended up staying for a while, with my book, and was genuinely surprised by how charming the place is. The ambience is warm and cozy, the kind that makes you forget you had other plans. They’ve got a great music playlist, several board games scattered around, and a beautiful photography exhibition that gives the space real character. The service was quick and friendly, and the whole vibe just felt easy and welcoming. I didn’t get the full “evening” experience since I was headed elsewhere, but this little accidental stop left me wanting to go back with friends for a full experience.
