La Calabrese sur Montreal-La-Cluse

Despite a waitress who did her best and was very professional, we waited 1 hour and 20 minutes for our food. The first course was gnocchi with sun-dried tomatoes, but we were still looking for the tomatoes. The second course was pasta carbonara with extra-large salt. The third course, a Bressane pasta, had such thin pasta that it resembled shreds. Luckily, the desserts were good. It's a shame because the setting is nice. There's a lack of organization and probably a shortage of staff.

I ordered the Paestum pizza and it was simply magnificent! 🍕😍 A generous, flavorful, and perfectly executed pizza. A real treat, with quality ingredients and lots of taste. I thoroughly enjoyed it! I highly recommend this restaurant and I will definitely be back. 👌

While passing through the area, we found some delicious pizzas. They were perfect.

I recommend this restaurant, which was recently bought and reopened about a month ago. The new owner makes authentic Italian pizzas with excellent ingredients. You won't be disappointed. In our opinion, they're the best pizzas in the area.

If it were possible, I'd add a sixth star. Antonino truly exceeded all expectations. As an Italian, I've tasted many pizzas in my life, but the ones at LA CALABRESE are truly exceptional. Even in Italy, it's hard to find a product of this quality. The service also deserves a special mention. The woman who looked after us was truly courteous, smiling, and kind—a wonderful person. What can I say? If you're passing through Montreal, don't hesitate, stop by and try La Vera Italia in Tavola. Well done, Antonino and all the staff—you fully deserve it.
