La Caravelle Restaurant-Pizzeria sur Aix-Les-Bains

A nice little moment at this restaurant during a weekend in Aix... my friend's pizza was very good, the Caesar salad could perhaps be a more generous portion for a "meal" portion, and I didn't find the breaded chicken very well cooked... The waitress was alone but very pleasant and smiling.

I had a wonderful time at La Caravelle! The meal was excellent. The pizza of the day and the tagliatelle carbonara were superb. I highly recommend it!

La Caravelle is an establishment we've known for many years. We used to dine there whenever we were in the area, and it's always with a certain emotion that we return. During a recent visit, we found the owner at the pizza place. The staff has changed, but we clearly sensed a different energy, a different vibe. We perceived the owner as tired, but he's holding the course, persevering despite the pressures and difficulties that are so prevalent in the restaurant industry today. And for that alone, he deserves respect. The service was very good, even if we missed our old habits a little—which is normal when returning to a place filled with memories. The food, however, remains excellent, true to what we remember. We will definitely return on our next trip, because this establishment is fighting for its future, and because coming back here reminds us of a particularly pleasant period in our lives. The best pizzas in Aix-les-Bains; chef Didier uses a Neapolitan method and his pizzas are "out of this world." The restaurant's location is ideal, near the train station, for a pleasant meal with family or friends.
