La Cassolette sur Vence

A small, informal restaurant in the old town of Vence. We opted for the €42 menu. Few dishes, but well-prepared and with good ingredients. Excellent service and very friendly staff. We drank excellent Provençal red wine. Congratulations.

A very good restaurant in the old village

Fantastic experience, everything was delicious. It's been a long time since I've tasted such good foie gras. The dishes were perfectly balanced and delicate. The wine selection was also excellent. And the service was impeccable. Go without hesitation and enjoy!

What a fantastic discovery this restaurant was! We let ourselves be guided in choosing our dishes, and the wine recommendations were perfect and perfectly suited to our tastes. The waiter, who was also the restaurant manager, clearly felt passionate and dedicated. The welcome was outstanding. I almost didn't want to finish my veal shoulder for fear of running out. It was absolutely delicious! The homemade desserts are divine; I had the coconut milk panna cotta with passion fruit coulis. The value for money is unbeatable, allowing you to enjoy refined cuisine. This bistro-style establishment truly deserves its name and is well worth a visit. Thank you for such a wonderful experience. We will be back.

We had a wonderful time at the restaurant! The staff, dishes, ambience and quality were superb for what the restaurant is positioning itself as. Without going into any further details, one point I'd like to address is the comments from two prior guests, who gave the restaurant low ratings claiming falsely that the restaurant is supposedly labelling itself as Michelin-starred but that it is not. Its very clear that the restaurant is mentioned in the Michelin guide - this does not mean it is formally Michelin-starred. The restaurant is not claiming anything falsely. Its a basic knowledge that anyone who has a culinary inclination or uses that point as an argument for its Google rating should know. As such, I find the guest reviews on the Michelin aspect as highly misleading and unjustified. While I have no stake in the restaurant or even know the owner, I feel that being fair with guest ratings is very important since such bad reviews, if unjustified, can really hurt the reputation of the restaurant and impression for future guests.
