La Cave à Nico sur Frontignan

A wonderful discovery at La Cave à Nico! We had a fantastic time on our first visit. The welcome was warm, and the service was pleasant and attentive. As for the food, it was a real treat: seafood platter, tuna tartare, and tuna tataki—everything was delicious, with beautiful ingredients and lots of flavor. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! We were seated inside, where it was a bit warm, but that didn't stop us from having a great time. And we went back yesterday… (the punishment was over 😄)! This time, we were seated at the entrance, at the barrel-shaped tables. And once again, everything was perfect: the same warm welcome, impeccable service, and a great atmosphere. And of course, the seafood platter, still as excellent and generous as ever: a real treat! The photo speaks for itself. Another great time spent at La Cave à Nico. Excellent food. However, the service could be improved, and it's not uncommon to be rudely dismissed... the dining room under the corrugated iron roof is stuffy and extremely shiny. I recommend staying on the terrace, even though it's along the street.

Always exceptional value for money. A royal platter (of tuna!) that's as delicious as ever, a simple and efficient setting. A place you never tire of! A must-try!

We came as a family and thoroughly enjoyed the bluefin tuna tataki, which definitely lived up to expectations! A great place. The only slight downside is that dining on the back patio isn't as pleasant.

Fresh produce and excellent cuisine

We've been twice already, we're from Bordeaux but no matter, the third time is on the horizon 😁 simply excellent!

We went to Nico's wine cellar twice during our vacation. The first time, we were seated on the terrace (obviously noisy, there are quite a few cars on the street). We ate razor clams/tuna tartare and tuna tataki with peppers, plus the children's menu. Very good, but too many peppers. We went a second time to eat the same thing but ordered fries instead. The second time, we were in the back under the fans (which were blowing too hard; the children's meal got cold quickly). What would have been ideal as a side dish is peppers and fries, or rather, one or the other. The tartare and tataki are very, very good! Go there during your stay.

Thanks to the firecracker brothers, Gerardo and Bernardo, for the great times spent at Nico's (thank you for your kindness), always a treat, never disappointed. A big thank you to the newcomers, José and Daniela, see you again in September.

We arrived at the last minute, a party of three plus a small dog (2 adults / 1 child), right in the middle of the rush—basically, some annoying customers—but we received a fantastic welcome. The tuna is fabulous, and the children's menu is fabulous too. And as the name suggests, for wine lovers, the wine cellar is top-notch. I highly recommend this place. A smile is worth a return visit, especially after reading some of the comments 🤫🤭😉
