Brasserie L Expresso

20/07/2026: Pleasant service, thank you to the manager and servers for a lovely time. Air-conditioned dining room, good, inexpensive food. I recommend the chocolate mousse. We'll be back!
04/06/2026: Disappointed with the atmosphere since the reopening; it used to be more lively. The servers are great and very friendly, but the owners are snubbing customers. As a result, we haven't tried the food yet.

16/02/2026: The best place I've been to in Douai. Note that this is La Pergola restaurant, now separate from the Vintage bar. Set in a courtyard, it has a lovely atmosphere and a warm welcome. The food is truly delicious (the baked egg and sautéed shrimp on creamy leeks are to die for, the duck breast is cooked to perfection and served in a generous portion…), the prices are very reasonable, and the set menu is even better. And in the warmer months, there's an incredible garden to enjoy a meal or a drink with friends (as a fan of sweet wines, the waiter introduced me to an amazing Coteaux du Layon). In short, a must-visit for me.
