My first time at La Fame was when I was 7 years old; I'm 59 now, and it's a place that brings back so many memories. But it's the brasserie that you absolutely mustn't miss if you want to enjoy delicious homemade fries.
My recommendation: bavette steak or andouillette sausage with fries 😋👍

Passing through Douai, we stopped for lunch.
The prices are reasonable, the welcome is very warm, and the staff takes the time to chat while remaining efficient.
Everything was good and simple, with many homemade items (fresh fries, chocolate mousse, caramel cream, etc.). We have fond memories of our visit. It's a brasserie just the way we like them. Thank you to the owner and his team.

Not being from the area, my wife introduced me to this restaurant. I was truly delighted: discovering northern-style fries, so delicious 🤤🥹🙏 impeccable service, and a very warm welcome. I will gladly return as soon as I arrive in Douai 🙏
