July 18, 2026 A wonderful evening, served by Nadine on the terrace. A very welcoming and smiling person, impeccable service... thank you to her! The meal was excellent and generous. The menu is well-stocked, with very reasonable prices. The lady who had forgotten her credit card PIN... from Beauvais.

My first time at La Fame was when I was 7 years old; I'm 59 now, and it's a place that brings back so many memories. But it's the brasserie that you absolutely mustn't miss if you want to enjoy delicious homemade fries. My recommendation: bavette steak or andouillette sausage with fries 😋👍 Thanks to the owner for the excellent Irish Coffee 🔥

Passing through Douai, we stopped for lunch. The prices are reasonable, the welcome is very warm, and the staff takes the time to chat while remaining efficient. Everything was good and simple, with many homemade items (fresh fries, chocolate mousse, caramel cream, etc.). We have fond memories of our visit. It's a brasserie just the way we like them. Thank you to the owner and his team. The Normans 😉

16/02/2026: The best place I've been to in Douai. Note that this is La Pergola restaurant, now separate from the Vintage bar. Set in a courtyard, it has a lovely atmosphere and a warm welcome. The food is truly delicious (the baked egg and sautéed shrimp on creamy leeks are to die for, the duck breast is cooked to perfection and served in a generous portion…), the prices are very reasonable, and the set menu is even better. And in the warmer months, there's an incredible garden to enjoy a meal or a drink with friends (as a fan of sweet wines, the waiter introduced me to an amazing Coteaux du Layon). In short, a must-visit for me.

12/08/2026: I really wanted to point out that the staff are not helpful and that only charging your phone for 10 minutes is really stupid, frankly.
28/05/2026: It's a nightmare buying cigarettes on Sundays; there's a queue at peak times.
