Superb location just opposite the town hall means that this place will always attract passing trade.
The service was efficient and friendly, but ultimately one goes to a restaurant for food - and it wasn't great.
The Alsacian cuisine was expensive even by Obernai standards and not well executed at all. The pork knuckle, traditionally served with sauerkraut to cut through the fattiness of the meat, was here served up with a tasteless Munster cheese sauce. Mustard came in a plastic sachet.

It was fantastic once again! On each of our visits, we are welcomed with incredible kindness and warmth.
And as always, I ordered the cordon bleu. With a Monaco to drink… A real treat! I'm delighted; it was delicious once again.
I can only recommend this place and I'm already looking forward to going back.

The welcome was very warm and the dishes were very well prepared, good local cuisine, but I had mentioned that it was my wife's birthday and had asked for a very small cake with a candle to mark the occasion; it was a surprise, but unfortunately I didn't receive anything.

We came by chance two years ago, and when we passed by again this year, it wasn't by chance, we went back.
And chance worked out well: same waiter, same table, and just as good as ever. The Bekoff, the Ham Hock with Munster cheese—a real treat! Thank you.
