29/03/2024: We took the 4-course chef's menu, which was very fine, we all enjoyed our dishes and the wines were very good. On the other hand, I was disappointed by the poor reception of our questions (in fact we were not aware of the menu "discovery" system, and for health reasons, asked to know the dishes in advance proposed) because we were told, shortly after and in a rather unpleasant manner, "it's going to be complicated between us" as if our questions were inappropriate or rude. This leaves a bitter note for me, although we ate well. Furthermore, it could be good to specify on the website that the Chef's 4-course menu at €49 from Tuesday to Friday lunchtime is not offered on public holidays.

05/04/2024: Good pizzeria! I ordered Tonno's pizza and it was incredible!! My husband ordered the Sicilian and it was also delicious. For dessert we ordered a chocolate mousse which was also delicious. Perfect service!

30/03/2024: Very good restaurant! To advice ! Short menu but all the dishes are tasty and present! The prices are correct! Just a downside for desserts (above €10 on average) The setting is typically Alsatian and everything is very neat! Even the toilets are perfect! Which is not the case everywhere! Paid parking "St Odile" in the immediate vicinity!

19/03/2024: We stumbled in and got lucky to get a table. Reservations are very recommended. Very nice Ambiente, What a friendly welcome. The service was very quick, polite and forthcoming. A marvel how one single madame manages to take care of a full Restaurant. The menu is excellent, everything local, tasteful and traditional. I recommend "Choucroute avec Spätzle" and the "Cremant d'Alsace", and the cheese selection for desert. Everything is well worth trying and value for the money. We will for sure come back. Thanks

30/03/2024: Once a loyal customer, I am moving away and have more and more doubts. Last summer, I saw the boss (noisy, even abusive towards her young, often changing staff) microwave the bottom of a tub of ice cream and pour it onto the new tub that she was putting in the window. Shock! But I reasoned with myself. Today I'm calling for a last minute purchase. Mess in my kitchen and unrecoverable ingredients. I am in an emergency. The employee who answers me first lectures me... I dare: will there be cakes in the window tomorrow morning to look for without having ordered (it's Easter)? The answer is no. (I'm surprised, a house with so much experience doesn't provide anything for latecomers or forgetful people?) Oh yes! I still have an offer: a frozen chocolate dessert for 6 people for €54! I'm crazy about it! I missed the Schaeffer house less and less, I won't miss it anymore! I will bring flowers to my hosts to make amends.

17/03/2024: We let ourselves be tempted by the discovery platter and were not disappointed. The sushi was out of the ordinary with taste and careful presentation. Almost a work of art! Just a little embarrassed by the waitress who was laughing with another waitress or owner?

09/03/2024: Terrible customer service. I ordered takeout last night for 2 people. When I arrive home I realize that 50% of my order is not what I ordered. Full of empathy, I called the restaurant and explained the situation to them, not even to get something, but rather so that it wouldn't happen again for other customers after me. The boss is put on the phone to me, who tells me in a dry and very unpleasant tone "that this evening he has too many people in the room and that he doesn't have time to linger on the phone." A shame ! At the price you charge for your sushi, we expect impeccable quality of service and customer service that holds up. Last night unfortunately it was neither of them. I have all the necessary photos if needed.

29/10/2023: A new place in Obernai which gives both a facelift and a touch of class to the city. Such a place was missing and its arrival is a good thing. The place is very friendly, very cozy, full of finesse and very classy, ​​cozy and calm atmosphere (music present but not deafening). The cocktail menu varies between great mixology classics and some reinterpretations of classics. The choice of so-called exceptional spirits is rather "classic" and perhaps lacks a touch of originality. Taste-wise, the po...star martini was excellent. Very well balanced between sweetness and acidity. The “foam” on top was clearly controlled because it was neither too present nor too light. A good time of rest before the service to make it appear. Clearly controlled. The Manhattan was fragrant but, for my taste, too diluted. A 100% spirits cocktail should be a bit more robust. Good choice of martini though. The 2nd chance was a real pleasant surprise. Very delicate with very beautiful floral notes on the finish. The clear ice cube with print on the top had a very nice effect. Clearly a good touch, simple but very tasty.
