Excellent Northern French cuisine, just the way we like it, especially the fries. Friendly and helpful servers who were happy to advise on drinks. Highly recommended! 👍

A sunny Saturday lunchtime in Lille. We had a fantastic meal on the terrace with friends. The Welsh rarebit is exceptional, the ingredients are high quality, and the cooking is superb. If you want to experience authentic Northern French cuisine, this is a must. Special mention also goes to the shrimp croquettes. They also have a very good wine list. The only slight drawback was the somewhat slow service, but it's easily overlooked thanks to the quality of the food. You can go there without hesitation.

While in Lille to visit old friends, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. I chose the cordon bleu, which I highly recommend, and the shrimp croquettes were also excellent. However, the service left much to be desired: upon arrival, we weren't seated, waited about ten minutes before receiving the menus, and the dishes arrived before the table was even set. I still gave the food 5 stars, because the main reason for going to a restaurant is to eat well. Therefore, I recommend La Cloche for the quality of its cuisine, but the service clearly needs improvement.

It's good, but when you order salmon waterzooi you expect a little more than a small piece of fish (2 bites and there wasn't any left)...

11/03/2026: A very nice restaurant and bar located near the metro entrance. The staff is very welcoming and attentive to customers. If you're feeling peckish or thirsty, the food is excellent and very reasonably priced. There's a great atmosphere with the other customers. I highly recommend it.

08/02/2026: A great bar with a warm welcome and friendly clientele. They offer good advice on beer selection, reasonable prices, and best of all, a wood-burning fireplace. Ideal for spending quality time with friends.
06/02/2026: Despite a first experience a few months ago where we found the atmosphere very pleasant, the second was unfortunately disappointing. In fact, a Guinness bar isn't, for me, the same as a restaurant where they serve red mullet or salmon (which must surely be very good). It's not the atmosphere I'm looking for, and besides, there's no charcuterie board offered at 7:30 pm; the pub vibe is nowhere to be seen. Luckily, there are other Guinness bars in Lille with the atmosphere I'm looking for. Too bad, but I'll pass.
