I wanted to try the Welsh rarebit, but unfortunately I didn't like it. I can confirm that it has nothing to do with the food. Otherwise, everything else was perfect.

We came as a family for a quick dinner, and we were very well served 🤩 thanks to Thomas; the food was delicious!
What better way to finish than with a shooter recommended and prepared by "Bibiche" 😉 who was also super friendly! A big thank you to you both; we're ending our stay in Lille on a high note! All the best ☀️

The lady told us there was no food on Mondays. That is when they fast in France... luckily there were croquettes. Delicious!! French revenge on our bitterballen... and it turned out well!! The service remains better than 80% of what we have in the Netherlands... and that's a 5-hour drive away...

We came as a family with children. The restaurant is well located, not far from the main square. The carbonnade was good but could have been a bit more substantial considering the price. It's a shame there's no children's menu with a drink and dessert (only a small dish for €10, with drinks and dessert extra). Another drawback was the toilets, which are inconvenient, requiring you to walk past urinals, and weren't very clean when we were there. As for the service, it was quite good.

Typical Flemish cuisine.
Sweet and fragrant carbonnade.
Shrimp croquettes not great (bachamel a bit mealy).
Salad and fries quite good.
Friendly service but quickly overwhelmed for the start of the season.
Beers are well served.
The dessert was good but not exceptional (speculoos tiramisu).
The place, the welcome, and the set menu make it worth stopping by for a pleasant moment.

We had lunch today. It was incredibly busy. We waited a little longer than usual, but it was worth it. A delicious Welsh rarebit with a BVL beer. We enjoyed a very good meal with friendly service. And to top it all off, when we went to pay the bill, I assume the manager apologized for the delay (staffing issues) and offered us coffee and Pepsi. A very nice gesture, as we hadn't asked for anything. We'll definitely go back.
I recommend it.
