La Coquille sur Concarneau

Hey, La Coquille has changed owners... We'll have to check it out. Pleasant restaurant, decent food but nothing special (the desserts were weak), acceptable atmosphere, sometimes noisy. Excellent staff. The wines are expensive for the quality. Next time, I'll try the €50 set menu.

We received a Christmas gift card for this restaurant... thank you for the delicious meal. Excellent.

One small drawback: The decor is lovely, the welcome friendly, and the food is good. However, the portions of the €35 set menu are clearly insufficient, especially the starter (where were the mushrooms?) and particularly the dessert (a decomposed Black Forest cake) – tiny! Everything went well? Oddly enough, the person didn't listen to us, was almost unpleasant, and suggested we go somewhere else where it wouldn't be any better, we were told. The chef? He must have other things to do... Goodbye, we won't be back. It's a shame, it was a Christmas gift... Oh, and by the way, the deadline is very tight (the meal must be taken before February 28th without fail!).

Second lunch at this restaurant, which I highly recommend. They were very accommodating with time constraints. The fish was perfectly cooked. The dessert was delicious. The service was excellent. The atmosphere was very pleasant.

A true gem ❤️ While passing through Concarneau, we discovered La Coquille and it was a truly delightful experience. Special mention goes to the abalone appetizer, simply remarkable: perfectly cooked, expertly seasoned, and a balance of flavors that truly showcases the product. The owner is lovely, welcoming without being intrusive, with a kind word that immediately puts you at ease. In the kitchen, the chef demonstrates great professionalism and doesn't hesitate to come to the dining room to share his passion. He talks about his dishes, his ingredients, his choices… all with a genuine sense of humor and quality jokes that add a touch of conviviality to the experience. A restaurant where you eat very well, where you laugh, where you feel good: an address to recommend without hesitation in Concarneau.

A very pleasant place, as was the service. The experience began with a selection of house aperitifs, followed by a tasting of seafood. Dessert and coffee from the local roastery... We treated ourselves to a digestif to finish! A few photos; the rest is for you to discover.

Very good restaurant. Try the ANDOUILETTE, the Breton specialty.

It exceeded our expectations: excellent food, attentive service, and a rainy day turned into a highlight. Highly recommended.
