La Corne De Gazelle sur Besse-Et-Saint-Anastaise

We came for two nights after camping for four days. We received a warm welcome, and the staff were very friendly. The room was cute, although there was some dust in the bathroom. We had a lovely view of the fields. One of the only downsides was that my partner had a lot of trouble sleeping the first night due to a constant machine noise. We bought earplugs for the second night, which was enough to block out the noise. It's a background noise that never stops. The pool is clean and always fairly empty, which is very pleasant. Breakfast was very good. We didn't have the chance to have dinner at the restaurant, but the menu looked good. Lucie

Stayed for a weekend. The room was quite basic and offered very little comfort. There was no decoration, and the style was rather rustic and mountainous. Breakfast was not included and quite basic. The hotel looks neglected from the outside; a little sprucing up would be welcome! The owner was very friendly. The hotel has parking, a swimming pool, and an elevator. It's close to the center of Besse.

We stayed several days at this hotel and had a wonderful stay. We opted for half-board and the food was excellent; breakfast outside in the cool shade was also very pleasant! The bedding was perfect, and the room had a small balcony with two armchairs. We also enjoyed walking to the center of the charming town of Besse. A family-run hotel; we would gladly return!

Our stay was rather disappointing. The pool was advertised as opening at 4:30 pm. However, it didn't open until 5:10 pm, after all the guests had been checked in. The wellness facilities clearly hadn't been prepared beforehand… The sauna was out of order (and this seems to have been the case for several months, judging by previous reviews). The hot tub was the same temperature as the pool, therefore cold, with only one working jet. We also noticed a lack of maintenance around the pool, with dead insects scattered around the edge. In general, the facilities seemed very outdated… Given the advertised amenities, especially the wellness area, we expected better-maintained and fully functional facilities. As for the bedding, it was very good.

We stayed from July 1st to 6th, 2026. We were a group of 15 people. Excellent establishment; the staff were smiling, friendly, and attentive to the entire group. The dinners were excellent, generous, and made with high-quality ingredients. Breakfasts were plentiful. The hotel is well located for visiting the region and the town center of Besse-Saint-Anastaise, a charming medieval town.

A family-run hotel in a beautiful green setting. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The chef was excellent. The location is superb, just a 2-minute walk from the heart of Besse and close to all the must-see attractions.
