10/03/2026: A magnificent place, it's very pleasant to walk around.

09/03/2026: Easy parking before reaching the lake. Several hiking trails are available. The loop around the lake itself is very easy and takes about an hour. We did the loop around the lake and Puy de Montchal (1407m): about 3 hours. You can bring a picnic (there was still a little snow on March 7th). Beautiful panoramic views.

23/07/2026: A very warm welcome allowed us to settle comfortably on the terrace. Our order was placed quickly and served promptly. The staff were very helpful and attentive, which was truly delightful. Special mention for the truffade, which was absolutely delicious. We highly recommend it!

12/07/2026: It was a family celebration, so we headed back to our roots to enjoy ourselves and booked a table at this restaurant we know well. Upon arrival, we discovered the place was completely different following a recent change of ownership. The setting was lovely, so we thought, "Let's try something new." The servers were friendly and seemed very attentive. We chose to order the chicken supreme with blue cheese sauce. The dish arrived with a simple presentation, and the pasta seemed to be of average quality, nothing serious. We carved the chicken, and with the first bite, it felt cold, like eating ice cream. However, the color of the meat, although slightly pink, didn't indicate it was undercooked. We went to the server to point out the problem. He apologized profusely and took the dishes and reported them to the kitchen. Barely five minutes later, the same dishes we sent back came back piping hot. (I won't make any wild guesses. I'll let you be the judge of how they were reheated.) We ate everything because, despite everything, the dish wasn't inedible, but we expect better in a restaurant. The dessert didn't make up for it; the blueberry tarts were rather bland and a bit soggy. I hope we were the only ones who experienced this...

30/05/2026: Good value for money. Very well located for hiking around the Auvergne volcano lakes. The hotel is quiet and pleasant, surrounded by nature, and just a 5-minute walk from the town center. The hosts are friendly, attentive, and available, with good service and a generous breakfast. Regarding the room, we always prefer a shower to a bathtub; that's the only slight drawback…

23/05/2026: A charming hotel that we stayed in between the Ascension Day holiday rush and the Whit Monday weekend in 2026. The owner gave us a warm welcome, showing us to our room and providing information. The room was a good size for sleeping, and the small bathroom was adequate. We would have preferred a shower cubicle rather than a small bathtub (hence the one-star deduction for the room), but our hygiene wasn't affected 😄. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant after a swim in the indoor pool. The meal was excellent, and the service was pleasant. In short, very good value for money for this lovely establishment. Thank you again for the warm welcome.

The food was excellent, and the terrace was lovely. As for the price, it was more than reasonable considering the excellent quality and generous portions. A must-try! Thank you.

12/07/2026: We had a wonderful time at this restaurant. The food was authentic and generous, with excellent regional products and a superb customizable omelet cooked over a wood fire. A special mention for the very friendly waiter's sense of humor. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at a very reasonable price. We will gladly return!

17/05/2026: A wonderful experience in this truly authentic place. We arrived on Ascension Thursday while it was snowing. The welcome was incredibly warm and the food was simply excellent.
