We ate croissants, brioche rolls and a pastry with apple, it was very tasty. It's just less fun to eat it cold.

The best Basque cherry cake from Bayonne. I bought mine on Wednesday for lunch this Sunday; the cake was delicious, and, kept in the fridge for three days, it tasted as if it had been fresh that morning.

Bakery located in a rather charmless port area. Pleasant welcome. We had a Basque cake which wasn't the best we've ever had. It lacked flavor and was a bit dry.

Discovered by chance in the Bayonne market. An exceptional Basque cake (the cream duo with whole cherries)!!! They also have shops near the train station, the very friendly saleswoman told us. My advice: go for it!

Hello. So, I went to buy a Basque cake at this shop. I'm 69 years old, Basque, and a real foodie, so I know a thing or two about Basque cakes. Well, I was amazed. The best Basque cake I've ever tasted. They have a specialty that combines both cream and cherries. A mixed Basque cake. The cream is light, not too sweet, with a subtle hint of rum, and there are whole cherries too. But not at all tart. Nor sweet. The pastry is very crumbly. This cake is light, flavorful without being sweet, and good value for money. €12 for four (generous) slices. The ladies are charming; you can tell they love their products. Try it, and you'll be hooked. I live in Biarritz, and goodness knows there are plenty of Basque cakes in Biarritz... but now that I know this place, this is where I'll go.
