I love this restaurant! I'm so disappointed it's closing permanently soon! Thank you for all these years of service, the warm welcome, and the quality of the food (oysters, seafood platters). A fantastic team... Chartres will miss it. All the best to everyone!

My first time at La Criée. I wasn't disappointed. A few suggestions: The salmon tartare as a main course is more avocado tartare than salmon. It's a bit of a shame, especially since the price is quite high... The mussels with chorizo ​​lack flavor. We were expecting a slightly spicier dish with pieces of chorizo ​​in the sauce. On the other hand, the mussels with green curry are absolutely delicious. Perfectly seasoned, the combination of coconut milk and curry is very harmonious. I thoroughly enjoyed it! The service is impeccable, the staff incredibly friendly. The restaurant itself is very nice.

The meal was very good! Both meat and fish were excellent choices. Be sure to arrive early (we came between 8 and 10 pm) as some dishes were no longer available. A nice touch – you can order a cocktail and have it made into a mocktail even if it's not on the mocktail menu. The wait to start eating was long (around 40 minutes), but the wait included a cocktail. It was only 23°C (73°F), according to the thermometer next to us, but it felt warm! The waitress was pleasant. The restaurant has a lovely decor. The price was around €80 for two people, including one starter, two main courses, two desserts, and two cocktails.

Superb restaurant, great atmosphere, it's clean, the fish is good, the decor is nice, the waiters are great, I recommend it... I was able to invite my grandmother to eat good fish :)

04/03/2026: We had a wonderful time at this restaurant. The homemade terrines were delicious. The service was friendly and welcoming. An experience to be repeated.
11/02/2026: A disaster after a very positive first experience... Over an hour's wait for an aperitif and a main course! The waiter was friendly and courteous, but she was alone serving, which didn't help matters! Several dishes and desserts were out of stock... It would be nice if they had announced this beforehand and told the customers! We came from Orléans and left angry with a hefty bill and no compensation whatsoever! There are some fundamental issues that need addressing! We were therefore forced to have dessert elsewhere, at a nearby establishment... In short, this will be the last time we go to this place, which is a shame because we had a good time last June! PS: No regrets, considering the response and the lack of self-reflection!

30/05/2026: Absolutely top-notch, as always for years. I'd like to add that I agree with Stéphane; I prefer my meat well-done (at home). Sometimes it's less cooked than I like, and yet I've never been disappointed. I'm extremely picky about meat, and theirs is very good and flavorful. Also worth mentioning is the exceptional service; you won't find it anywhere else. You feel truly welcome, and thank you!
