A superb dinner with high-quality, truly fresh dishes, all at an affordable price, worthy of Concarneau. Veteran Jérôme and his team at Loups de Mer are attentive to their customers.
They would probably benefit from brightening up their storefront with the vibrant colors of 'La Criée' to draw attention to this boulevard, which I've frequented since 1977: this is the first time I've seen this iconic fish and seafood restaurant. A good cleaning of the awning would also be more than welcome to give it a facelift.

We arrived an hour before closing, half of the tables were free. As soon as we entered, the first thing the waiter did was look at his watch.
Despite the fact that there were plenty of free tables near the windows where we wanted to sit, they refused to seat us there. Well, in vain, we just went to the neighbors, unfortunately the food was not worth it, and the service is not good.

The seafood was very fresh and the service very friendly; unfortunately we went on a Monday, when they had not yet received the merchandise and some dishes on the menu were missing, but they informed us before we sat down, which was very correct.

Update March 2026: Products still as fresh and service polite, however, portion sizes have decreased = see photos 2023 versus 2026; and it's still a good lunch before catching the train.
2023: Very fresh products: Fine de Claire oysters and tuna tartare on avocado with a glass of white wine from the Languedoc region = a good lunch before catching the train.

I arrived with a "wow" in my head and left with a "meh"! The food was okay, nothing special. The salmon and avocado tartare had more avocado than salmon. It lacked flavor, and the sauce was on the side. The pot-au-feu was also lacking in sauce. In short, not bad, but nothing extraordinary, especially for the most expensive restaurant of our trip.
