An absolutely magical family experience at La Dariole! On July 18, 2026, we spent an unforgettable family moment at La Dariole, in the heart of old Orléans. What a joy to discover this gem nestled in a magnificent 15th-century half-timbered house! From the moment we arrived, the welcome was incredibly warm and attentive. The atmosphere is cozy, elegant, and authentic: stone, wood, brick… you immediately feel at ease, whether inside or on the intimate terrace. And what can we say about Chef Nicolas Hervé's cuisine? Simply exceptional. Seasonal, often local, products are elevated with a creativity that never ceases to surprise. The flavor combinations are bold, perfectly balanced, and each dish is a true feast for the eyes and the palate. You can taste the passion, the expertise, and the respect for the ingredients in every bite. The portions are just right, the quality is undeniable, and the value for money is excellent for a restaurant of this caliber. The whole family was delighted, from the youngest to the oldest. The service was discreet, professional, and very attentive throughout the meal. We truly had a wonderful, timeless experience. Avocados, mangoes, lemons, swordfish from Senegal, pike and catfish from the Loire River, beef tataki—a feast for the senses, as vibrant as the colors themselves. Wow… That was the first word that came to mind when I discovered the place… A building over 500 years old, typical of old Orléans… Upon entering, the warm and welcoming staff escorted us to the terrace, and there… Wow… A magnificent, calm, and antique setting… We opted for the tasting menu, and each dish, prepared with meticulous attention to detail in both presentation and execution, blew us away. In short, this is a place you absolutely must discover: the location, the welcome, the inventive and original dishes, and the chef who comes to greet you at the end of your meal… It's an exceptional place. I recommend it wholeheartedly!
