La Demeure des Roses sur Verteuil-Sur-Charente

A very nice experience. A truly pleasant setting and a magnificent table.

Hello, we dined there in September. The welcome was very good, the food was excellent (20/20), the interior was warm and tastefully decorated, the garden was a bit kitschy, but there was a small car parked in the garden—why?

Refined cuisine served in a charming setting on the banks of the Charente River, in the very pretty village of Verteuil-sur-Charente. The attentive and warm service is provided by the delightful owner, whose evident desire to please her guests further enhances the quality of the food. A place we love!

"We had a blast with the food! A great discovery, we'll gladly come back!"

We had lunch on the terrace overlooking the Charente River, under the trees, but it's such a shame the place is so poorly maintained. There's a mess everywhere. As for the meal, we only enjoyed the dessert. Far too expensive, disappointing.

We would like to thank the entire team for the wonderful time we had. Everything was perfect! The setting is truly delightful, right on the banks of the Charente River, with a beautiful, shaded, and flower-filled terrace. We received a very warm welcome and the service was impeccable, despite the small team (a chef who greets the guests... that's quite rare and worth mentioning!). The menu is simple but "described by Florence," making you want to try everything. Finally, the cuisine is original, featuring fresh, homemade ingredients. The chef is incredibly talented. Thank you all three for this excellent experience.

A beautiful patio right next to the river with a view of the chateau. Very good food, reasonably priced. Reservations are a must.

Excellent restaurant with refined cuisine, a magnificent setting under the trees by the water, pleasant staff, and a very attentive and charming owner. A place to discover.

Fantastic food and setting next to the Charente river. You must go!
