La Distillerie Cognac sur Cognac

We had a wonderful evening in a beautiful setting. The meal lived up to our expectations, with exquisite dishes served with great elegance. The waiters were very professional and attentive to our satisfaction.

Overall, we were satisfied with our visit to the distillery. The food was good, however, the service was a bit slow (40 minutes for our cocktails; 1 hour 30 minutes for our main courses).

Great service and very good food. The cold smoked salmon trout was beautifully plated with accompanying flavors. The fresh salad with goat cheese was refreshing for a hot summer day (in a well air conditioned restaurant) and the chicken was tender and flavorful. Fast and attentive service. Nice casual restaurant.

We had dinner on the terrace during our hotel stay. The service was impeccable, and the setting was welcoming (though not unforgettable). As for the food, the portions were far too small… I was hungry when I left the table. The portions were more like those of a fine-dining restaurant (but one that offers more than three courses!). The food itself was of impeccable quality, but the dishes were more visually appealing than delicious. There was no real risk-taking. The presentation was flawless, truly beautiful, but the taste was a bit disappointing considering the presentation. It was still quite good, though. One would have liked more surprises on the palate, especially given the beauty of the dishes. Also, for a three-course meal (starter, main, and dessert) at €47, especially considering the portion sizes, I find the price slightly excessive.

Very nice establishment, we ate very well and the staff were friendly.

The food was very good, but the price was high. The bread was stale, and the wine glasses were barely filled. Only four tables were occupied, which gave the place such a large size an unusual feel. I was left wanting more.

Nothing special. The brunch buffet was unfortunately lacking in essentials: no more scrambled eggs, no more bacon, and very few hot dishes available. A real shame, especially for a brunch where you expect a generous buffet that's regularly replenished.

Beautiful location, delicious food, and impeccable service! We highly recommend it.

They can and should do better. Dishes on the menu were more to our liking. But since we wanted to skip an appetizer, we were relegated to the chef's choice. A bland plate of grilled, pork, chicken and veal. Dessert. ok, but again nothing to write home about.

The bar at the Hotel Chai Monnet is incredible! The warm welcome is friendly, there's a little concert to share the evening, delicious cocktails, and above all, a big thank you to Nicolas, our bartender for the evening, and his extraordinary joviality. One major negative point: the sound system needs fixing, as the sound quality was terrible.
