La Escala sur La Bouille

We arrived late on a Friday night in La Bouille and having checked in to our hotel were extremely thirsty. A short walk along the road was this clearly very popular bar La Escala. Very helpful staff (and customers who helped translate an order for us). Delicious cold wine and beer and a view of the Seine as well. With tables outside there was lots of locals coming and going all very cheery and welcoming. We didn’t eat but we enjoyed an hour or so in the cooling evening being made to feel very welcome.

The food was absolutely fantastic! The bar and service staff were very friendly, thank you for the warm welcome 😄

This is the second time we've eaten at this restaurant, which is still just as good and very welcoming. We'll be back.

Last Sunday morning: thank you (to the young man and his mother) for filling our containers with fresh water 🙏. We promise we'll be seen as more than just water!

We had a very good meal for a reasonable price. The baked egg with chorizo was excellent.

I ate there for lunch two days in a row, and frankly, it's a fantastic place. The food is really good: the sirloin steak was perfectly cooked, the burger was very generous and well-balanced, and the desserts… to die for! The apple tart and the French toast are exactly what you expect from a restaurant that does things right: simple, expertly prepared, and incredibly delicious. Pleasant service, solid cuisine, nothing to complain about: a sure bet in La Bouille.

Perfect. Impeccable value for money. Very pleasant welcome. Efficient and excellent cuisine. View of the Seine. Pure bliss.

A warm and welcoming place. Superb service, a small menu featuring fresh, local products – bravo! Ben and Djo

Excellent restaurant. Located on the banks of the Seine. Warm welcome.

A very pleasant experience, I recommend it.
