27/07/2026: A delightful discovery on the banks of the Seine in the charming village of La Bouille.
A lovely, elegant setting with beautiful white tablecloths, an atmosphere of almost old-fashioned charm, and above all, delicious food. The flavors are perfectly balanced, the ingredients fresh, and the staff delightful. A wonderful family outing.
26/07/2026: Very disappointed. The food was ordinary despite the attractive presentation. Parking was impossible nearby, to which the owner responded with his lame joke, "You should have come by boat." In short, in addition to the exorbitant prices, it was a bad experience. You won't be seeing me again!

The bar and service staff were very friendly, thank you for the warm welcome 😄
26/07/2026: We arrived late on a Friday night in La Bouille and having checked in to our hotel were extremely thirsty.
A short walk along the road was this clearly very popular bar La Escala. Very helpful staff (and customers who helped translate an order for us). Delicious cold wine and beer and a view of the Seine as well.
With tables outside there was lots of locals coming and going all very cheery and welcoming.
We didn’t eat but we enjoyed an hour or so in the cooling evening being made to feel very welcome.

04/11/2025: Impeccable service in a warm setting with a river view, refined dishes made with fresh ingredients. Everything was perfect for a wonderful evening with friends; there were eight of us. We had a truly excellent time. You delighted our taste buds, thank you.

25/08/2026: Having arrived relatively late (1:45 pm) in La Bouille on a Sunday, Café de la Poste was our only option for lunch. Given the reviews, we were a little apprehensive, but we actually had a very good meal. The staff is welcoming and friendly, the atmosphere and setting are pleasant, the service is efficient, the menu is quite varied, and the prices are reasonable for this type of establishment. We ordered a Caesar salad, a moussaka, and a slice of Norman apple tart; the portions were generous, and everything was delicious.
