A truly excellent restaurant! The menu has changed, but it's still a delight… there are few restaurants open on Sundays that offer a menu at such an affordable price in a remarkable setting. The staff is always incredibly attentive to us food lovers, and the owner carefully oversees his establishment to ensure everyone's enjoyment. It's a good, family-run restaurant featuring local produce.

The staff were great, very friendly, special mention to the singer who sang "Happy Birthdays"! I was a little disappointed with the hamburger, but overall it was very good.

26/07/2026: We arrived late on a Friday night in La Bouille and having checked in to our hotel were extremely thirsty. A short walk along the road was this clearly very popular bar La Escala. Very helpful staff (and customers who helped translate an order for us). Delicious cold wine and beer and a view of the Seine as well. With tables outside there was lots of locals coming and going all very cheery and welcoming. We didn’t eat but we enjoyed an hour or so in the cooling evening being made to feel very welcome.

25/08/2026: A wonderful evening for a birthday celebration. Pleasant atmosphere. Very warm welcome. Impeccable service. The quantity and quality of the food delighted us.

It was the only restaurant open that Monday and a wonderful discovery: refined cuisine, quality ingredients, and delicious desserts. The service and welcome were friendly. We had a very enjoyable time. Reservations are highly recommended.
