Berthe restaurant is a place I wholeheartedly recommend. Brice is an excellent chef. His cuisine is always prepared with fresh ingredients, the menus are carefully crafted, and the dishes are bursting with flavor. The wine cellar is also very impressive, with a fine selection that perfectly complements the dishes. An excellent restaurant in Montpellier where you're guaranteed a wonderful time. I highly recommend it; you won't be disappointed.

Excellent meal last night at Le Berthe restaurant, located on the Jacques Coeur basin, combining refinement and generosity. All very affordable (excellent value for money). Homemade cuisine with seasonal products. We were treated to beautiful, generous portions and a precise and meticulous presentation of the dishes. A delight for both the eyes and the palate! If you're an octopus lover, you'll taste the best octopus in the region 🫶 And for vegetarians, a delicious vegetarian option is available 🥗 The atmosphere is warm and relaxing, with chic and understated decor. The service is impeccable! (We were guided and advised by Damien, who has an excellent knowledge of the restaurant's extensive wine list, and the table service was pleasant and friendly). Sincere and authentic cuisine, a real gem ❤️ This place deserves to be known and recognized! Thank you for this delicious experience and a great time, we will gladly come back to try the rest of the menu!

Went for lunch. Nice place, original menu, very satisfactory service. However, I was quite disappointed by the vegetarian dish, which consisted of only a few braised vegetables, without any starch, resembling a typical side dish, but without the rest of the meal (for the price of a full course). A shame, because the rest was very good.

Impeccable service and good quality food. Underground parking nearby. The outdoor terrace is somewhat disturbed by the activity in the nearby park (noisy and disrespectful young people).

We were attended to by Adrian and Clara, who were so friendly and helpful. They are both so good at what they do! We had the croquettes to start, and they were by far the best we’ve ever had! Mains were the octopus special (so tender, it just melted in your mouth) and the Dorado (which was absolutely the best piece of fish I’ve ever tasted). Outstanding experience by both the staff and the food and I wish I could award more than 5 stars 🤩

A perfect score for excellent cuisine. The gazpacho amuse-bouche was a perfect prelude to all the other courses. The crispy prawns on a stick were truly perfect, followed by an incredibly tender piece of lamb and a wonderfully light, crispy sea bream. The wines by the glass suggested by the waiter proved to be a perfect match for the dishes. The wine service was also very attentive.

While passing through Montpellier, we had lunch there: the sea bream and beef tartares were excellent, as were the desserts. I highly recommend this place!

Longtime regulars, we had a truly special experience at this restaurant, recently renamed Berthe, in reference to a certain grandmother who was a wonderful cook, we were told. A revamped, expanded, and imaginative menu. A more than enticing wine cellar. Dishes that lived up to expectations, a real treat. And a warm and welcoming staff. We were regulars. We'll be back even more often.
