Great place to eat! A very pleasant experience, beautiful and delicious meat dishes, with generous desserts. We highly recommend it.

Disappointed… Both of the meat dishes I ordered weren't cooked to my liking. The portions were very small, both for the appetizer and the side dish. The fries were frozen… The service was poor and slow. I don't recommend it!

Sébastien, the waiter, was very friendly and excellent. The service wasn't very long, and the staff were quick, efficient, smiling, and attentive to their customers. I highly recommend him. Enjoy your meal!

I am continuing, with my wife and two friends, on our travels across North East France. Tonight we stopped in the beautiful Arras. The centre is gorgeous. It is VERY Flemish in design and feel. The 'Grand Place' (Big Square) is big and beautiful. Today is Ascension Day in the Catholic church. Many businesses are closed for the day. We found this place randomly having parked under the Grand Place. There were no spaces on ground level. The fee for a few hours parking was just a couple of Euros. We were welcomed into the premises. There were no seats on the ground floor. We were taken to the basement. It is a classic example of a basement in the area. Long, thin, brick arched throughout. It was lovely and the atmosphere was pleasant. However, the ladies did feel cold. Our waiter - Sebastian - was attentive and helpful. His English is pretty good. Three orders were straightforward but my wife's was not. He handled the variations VERY well. He even thought to mention that the black colour in the bread for the burger she ordered was coloured with squid ink. My wife has a serious allergy to seafood so this was a great move. The food, when it arrived, was exactly what we wanted and had ordered. Each of us separately expressed our pleasure with our meals. I very rarely eat steak these days but I did tonight and it was delightful. The three steaks were each cooked differently - rare, medium rare and medium well. They were all different inside. We had puddings. The amount of walking we are doing around WW1, WW2 sites and around the cities we are visiting is allowing my wife to indulge a little. The menu does not mention ice cream flavours but a little question to Sebastian led to the very important revelation that they have chocolate ice cream ! Wife happy. I ordered rum and raisin ice cream. Fortunately I was watching Sebastian. I say this because he served my dessert with a bottle of rum in his other hand. I am tea total so had to stop him from pouring a quantity of rum on the ice cream. I am sure it would have made the dessert even better for many but for me - not a good option ! Sebastian did a great job. The restaurant is not cheap but the food is exquisite - you get what you pay for. Visit again ? As before we have no plans to be in the area in the foreseeable future but if we are then I anticipate a return visit.

Exceptional quality meat, a warm setting, a friendly atmosphere. Everything is designed to ensure a truly delicious experience. We will return with immense pleasure.
