To celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary, we booked five places using a voucher given to us by friends. We received a warm welcome, and the food was excellent. At the end of the meal, we paid the bill, which came to over €160. I jokingly mentioned that I had a voucher worth over €100 and that it had been given to us for a birthday. The cashier replied, "I don't care; the only thing I'm interested in is the voucher code and your credit card." It's a shame, but responses like that really put a damper on the evening, and I can assure you that the publicity we'll be spreading won't be great. I can only imagine the attitude of the establishment. As for me, I won't be returning.

Good atmosphere, nice music, good DJ, but we had to beg all evening for water. The dessert we were supposed to have for a birthday celebration wasn't served. It was left in the fridge, forgotten. No compensation was offered. We were left feeling unsatisfied.

The restaurant has a lovely setting; I tried the beef tartare. The dish was good, but the seasoning was a little too spicy for my taste. Good value for money.

25/08/2026: Coming from Reims, we stopped at the Mercure in Bordeaux Lac, not far from the Cottage du Lac restaurant. An excellent experience, a very good restaurant with delicious and refined cuisine, using quality ingredients. The dishes were well-prepared, the service pleasant, and the staff competent and friendly. We had a wonderful time. We highly recommend this restaurant. Jocelyne and Bruno Colaone
21/08/2026: Meh. A chanterelle purée with the meat was odd. There were four of us... the ice cream was changed in the dessert without us even asking... not at all what we expected, we won't be back.

20/07/2026: The atmosphere is very pleasant and the staff are always available, which makes the wait almost imperceptible.
10/07/2026: A chef-quality cuisine, top-notch and refined ingredients; the waiter explains every single ingredient of each dish. In short, a restaurant worth discovering.
