May 30, 2023: Still going strong! Shaded terrace a little away from the tourist and local hustle and bustle of the heart of the city. Very nice summer menu with large salads that are enough for your meal. A year ago: Good food, fish dish and excellent risotto (very creamy). A hearty strawberry dessert, a change from the 2 strawberries that fight a duel in most other restaurants... Pleasant and efficient service, I recommend.

We came here for lunch and found it very good.Centrally located on one of the streets off the main square,good service and delicious food.My husband had the burger and fries & I had the Italian salad both very good.Would highly recommend.

The restaurant's cuisine is excellent, Burgundy meat and quality fries. The andouillette is also of very good quality and local. The only disappointment was that the service was too long for our liking. We had a great time on the terrace, thank you.

Good restaurant with efficient service and good dishes. Located on a shaded square sheltered from traffic, you can eat in the dining room (floor) or on the terrace. The dishes are plentiful.

Een fijne plek om op het terras te zitten, wij hadden een hond bij ons en er werd gelijk een bakje water gehaald, erg goed. Service is snel en vriendelijk, het is prima, het restaurant binnen zag er erg mooi uit. Wij komen zeker terug.

02/09/2024: Zeer lekker gegeten,heel verzorgd, wijnkaart aan zeer schappelijke prijzen, bediend door een vriendelijke jongeman die hard zijn best deed maar er zo goed als alleen voor stond chapeau ! Een aanrader nog een restaurant met stoffen tafellakens !
26/08/2024: While passing through Troyes, we went for lunch in this restaurant, recommended by the Gault et Millau guide. We do not regret our choice: excellent refined cuisine, impeccable service despite the youth of the servers. Even though the terrace is very small (but we are in the city center) we enjoyed eating outside. We highly recommend this restaurant.

21/09/2024: Another moment of conviviality spent at the Hippopotamus, very good food, good atmosphere, special mention to Frédérick our dynamic server who was attentive and warm, we will come back!
21/09/2024: Very good meal, and an excellent atmosphere, in particular thanks to Yasmina who knew how to make us have an incredible time in her way of being with us, who knew how to adapt to our humor, which allowed us to laugh together while ordering the dishes!
