La Flambée sur Guerande

We arrived on the morning of June 28th around 11:45 AM, asking to have "breakfast," but were told that breakfast wasn't being served any longer at that time and we couldn't just have drinks—we had to order food! Fair enough! We were there to eat anyway—call it breakfast, lunch, or brunch; the point was to have a meal. While we were looking at the menu, the person who greeted us (I believe the owner) told us we "couldn't share dishes"—even before we had chosen anything. We were quite taken aback by these "orders," as we hadn't even expressed any intention to do such things! :((( We gave the place a try and ordered two crepes and two coffees; both were good. The cafeteria is small but charming, and I should add that the person who greeted us maintained a formal and polite tone throughout. However, what will keep me from returning is what I said to them: "Ma'am, you're bringing up these issues before we've even opened our mouths!" I think this is the biggest downside: making the customer feel not like a welcome guest, but like an unruly child in a boarding school cafeteria. Both the crepes and the coffee were good. The place is small but nice, and I'd add that the person who welcomed us always used a formal and courteous tone. What will keep me from returning is what I said to them: "Ma'am, you're talking to us about things without us even saying anything!" And this is a decisive minus in my opinion: They don't make the customer feel like a welcomed guest, but rather like unruly children in a boarding school spotlight.

Excellent galettes. Tasty and original across all the offerings. A must-try if you're in Guérande.

We were lucky enough to arrive when there was still a table available on the terrace. There was a bit of a wait for service, but that's to be expected in the middle of August. The cider was delicious, and the crêpes were a real treat. The option to share for a small extra charge was a great idea; the crêpes are quite filling for children (especially when their eyes are bigger than their stomachs 😅). We really enjoyed the names of the crêpes; they gave us a good laugh. Thank you for your hospitality. We'll be back if we're ever in the area.

The Camembert galette (advertised as made with raw milk) was tasteless… What a shame…

We had lunch there today, a party of eight. You have to be fully booked from the start to get a table; it was impossible to get a seat even though there were seven of us by the time the last person arrived. The trout crepe was rather disappointing, but the other crepes were good. The "surprise" ice cream, however, was a success! But overall, we didn't feel very welcome in this restaurant, which is a shame and left us with a rather mixed impression.

After several visits this summer, we are still delighted: The galettes are delicious, the service excellent. The waiter with the ponytail is always so smiling and welcoming.

Excellent crêperie in Guérande (the best?!) Because yes, a crêpe is better when it has good ingredients inside! The service is always friendly, which is a nice bonus! Thank you!

I'm a regular visitor to Guérande and had completely missed this crêperie! A wonderful discovery with original galettes and crêpes and very pleasant service.

Amazing galettes and crêpes! Everything is delicious and the fillings are original! Local, organic, and fresh products… Friendly staff! I highly recommend it…
