Passing through Cherbourg for the day, this brasserie caught our eye. And we were completely won over: a warm welcome, refined cuisine at a very reasonable price. A very successful choice.

A very good experience. A place we'll definitely keep in mind when we return to the area. Unbeatable value for money: €52 for two hearty meals, one enormous gourmet coffee (shared between two), one beer, one sparkling water, and two other coffees. You can hardly find places like this anymore.

The first time I went to the Fontaine, freshly very good brasserie, the dishes are of very good quality and very generous, I enjoyed myself, I was just bothered by an Asian hornet but it was not their fault, I recommend the Brasserie La Fontaine if you want to enjoy good meals and which remain very affordable financially

03/08/2025: A top-notch lunch restaurant! The food is good, generous portions, and the homemade dishes are excellent. Very good value for money, with fast service, whether you're eating in or taking out. Go there with your eyes closed!

16/02/2026: Restaurant located in the Cité de la Mer (City of the Sea) On Valentine's Day evening, the restaurant was full. We had a very good meal; the signature dish was the seafood sauerkraut. It was hot, generous, and the fish was cooked perfectly. All served by very pleasant waiters and waitresses. There was no wait, and a lovely atmosphere. We will definitely return.
