The food was excellent, but quite expensive and the service wasn't very good! For the wine, we decided to trust the enticing description on the wine list, even though it didn't specify the vintage or alcohol content. After the first sip, we all had the same reaction: "What is this?" The wine was a very pale red, with very little fruit flavor and virtually no tannins—the complete opposite of the description. It was a completely unsuitable wine. And it's a local wine, costing €43, no less! We asked for an exchange, because even though we saw it was a light wine, it didn't match the description, but it was refused. I don't remember the reason, but it wasn't worth the trouble. There were 12 of us, and the bill came to around €600-700. We ordered another bottle of red wine, a different one, of course. For your information, they left you the last of the bottle for you to taste. We felt we were treated with a lack of courtesy and sincerity; no one came to taste the wine. Please feel free to include the vintage and alcohol content of the bottles, which are objective information. Following your response: The real issue raised is the wine list, which lacks certain details, as already mentioned. But I imagine this went unnoticed by you, given your impressive self-reflection and kindness, which speaks volumes. Thank you sincerely for considering my preferences. You are absolutely right; I come here unfamiliar with the wine culture of Bugey, having a different background from another wine region. Is a customer allowed to make a mistake when choosing a bottle? Automatic clarification from the server, especially for local wines, seems appropriate.

Our first time at La Fourchette du Père Vincent, my partner and I, and what a surprise! Everything was excellent, from the service to the food! We were offered several delicious amuse-bouches. The dishes were exquisite; I recommend it 100%, and all this in a beautiful setting.

Great products, delicious and authentic food, and top-notch service and a warm welcome! The whole family was delighted (babies, teens, and adults). I highly recommend it! 😋
