La Fringale sur Villeneuve-D'Ascq

05/03/2026: We had the opportunity to have lunch at the restaurant on the day of the France-Italy match at the nearby stadium. As we had anticipated, the restaurant was packed with a fairly long queue. Despite this, we were seated quite quickly and were very pleased. A few points to note: - No water or bread on our table throughout our entire lunch, despite our request to the servers (perhaps only we southerners are used to this). - We ordered drinks and food at the same time, and the food arrived within 5 minutes, unlike the drinks, which must have arrived at the end of the meal. - I asked for salt during the meal, but I also had to wait almost 10 minutes... (my meat ended up cold, and given how busy it was, I wasn't about to send it back to the kitchen). OTHERWISE, the servers were very kind, providing pleasant service and smiles that tried to compensate for their lack of organization, which, given that they were two restaurant managers, seemed to stem from their disorganization. The restrooms were in a terrible state, but this was more due to the high volume of customers that day. We have fond memories of this shared experience, and thank you again to the servers! 05/03/2026: I came last night with two friends. We had a wonderful evening! The service from Victor (#Bernard) was impeccable! He listened to our requests, was incredibly welcoming, and always had a smile! Thank you.
