We went there for the first time to eat. The meal was good, but we sat on the terrace. We found it rather unclean: the seats were full of crumbs, the flower vases on the tables were dusty, and the parquet floor wasn't clean. It needs a bit more cleaning to make the place more pleasant.
The first floor was much cleaner.

A very welcoming place; it's not every day you find a restaurant above a cheese shop.
Everything we ate was excellent, and the waiter was lovely!

This is our second time visiting Aix and the Fromagerie du Passage has been a highlight of both visits. Great vibes on the terasse, wonderful service, and impeccable food.

We've been to this cheese shop several times to buy cheese. They've always been perfect (blue cheese, goat cheese, raclette, Saint-Nectaire...) everything was always delicious and the advice was excellent.

A cheese shop with a lovely rooftop terrace restaurant, even in winter, offering classic dishes enhanced with cheese for a truly original touch!
In my case, I had steak tartare with aged mimolette.
The staff is welcoming and incredibly attentive, which is much appreciated.
You can also enjoy a variety of cheeses, and the truffle honey served alongside is absolutely divine 🤩, which you can actually buy in the cheese shop on the ground floor. I say this because I bought so much of it! 😋

A wonderful experience at La Fromagerie du Passage in Aix-en-Provence.
A warm welcome, attentive and professional service, and consistently delicious dishes. The quality is unwavering, which is becoming increasingly rare these days. We've been coming for several years now, and the pleasure remains the same with each visit.
A must-visit for cheese lovers and those who appreciate generous cuisine in Aix-en-Provence.
