Used to coming every year during our stay on the island always well served, welcomed just a small downside this year we found less choice on the menu especially for our young people but otherwise nothing to say.

La gaieté offers very good dishes at a reasonable price for what is offered (their specialty of mussels is worth tasting). We were hesitant about the 1 star reviews left but don't hold back on them. I put 5 stars to counterbalance these bad reviews despite small errors in the drinks served. All the staff are very friendly and welcoming. To try !

Very good address. We eat very well with fresh produce and the servers are very friendly and dedicated. I don't understand the disastrous comments from some people! In addition, La Gaieté broadcasts sporting events on a large television in one of the restaurant rooms, which is rare on the island of Oléron 👍 To recommend without worry.😃

While passing through the island of Oléron, we stopped at La Gaieté for lunch. Cuttlefish risotto with smooth and excellent chocolate, I recommend. Generous portions for the price, we are not disappointed! Bonus for the beautiful view of the port. We were very well received and the staff were very friendly. Thanks to the team for their professionalism and thanks to Ludovic.

Good restaurant. The oysters were excellent and the soft delicious chocolate. The service is fast. The waitress (Océane?) was very pleasant and efficient. We had a pleasant evening, partly thanks to his welcome. Small downside: the restaurant room is unwelcoming and a little noisy.
