High-quality local cuisine. The eels, frog legs, and prawns are excellent. Efficient and friendly service. I'm deducting one star because of the stifling heat in the dining room, which somewhat spoiled the meal. Investing in air conditioning for the summer would be a good idea.

I just left this restaurant and couldn't wait to talk about this lovely table by the Domvix Canal. Chef, don't change a thing! Neither the menu nor the skill behind the stove. I hadn't had pike-perch or eel in ages. I was in heaven, and the local wine (Vix), a beautiful blend of Chenay Blanc "Tête de Crabe" and Chardonnay, was the perfect complement. Thanks to this family-run establishment, so effectively managed for many years. We were even treated to an aquatic ballet by a large family of swans (four cygnets)! And also to the diving talent of the house Labrador. Superb! What a treat! Cheers, old friend.

I highly recommend this restaurant! We had exceptional frog legs, so much so that we went back for dinner! From appetizer to dessert, everything was delicious, the waitress was incredibly attentive, and the atmosphere was fantastic! You absolutely must stop by; it's a real treat!

08/08/2026: Fantastic experience today for two couples. Excellent welcome, delicious meal, top-notch service from all the staff, who were incredibly friendly and always smiling, which was a real bonus. And what can I say about Christian, the owner, with his good humor and entertaining jokes, not to mention his very informative commentary throughout the cruise. A trip to recommend without a doubt! 😃

31/08/2026: A trusted address where everything is done for your utmost enjoyment, as is the art of fine dining. Quality ingredients, regional recipes, and reasonable prices that bring a smile to our faces (not to mention all the regularly updated set menus). A menu that evolves with the seasons, and in our case, a birthday meal (adults, teens, and children) with a thoughtful selection tailored to our guests, including some vegetarians (the Vendée brioche, French toast style, with caramel was a resounding success!). Kudos to Marie in the kitchen and at the helm of this wonderful establishment, and to Gwen and her team for the service. The wine list is also carefully curated and caters to all budgets. We were already familiar with it, but we have no doubt we'll be back, especially since the location is beautiful and just steps from the Sèvre Niortaise river. A sure value in terms of quality and time, with a definite appreciation of local products, and that is exactly what we are looking for.
31/08/2026: A very pleasant experience! From the welcome to the appetizer, main course, and dessert, the team was fantastic. I highly recommend it.
