Lunch today, 10/14/2023, in this friendly restaurant located on the other side of the Sèvre Niortaise, on the bank opposite the Le Collibert boat. Pleasant welcome, simple decor and impeccable general cleanliness. 2 menus offered, one at €24.80 and one at €34 and also à la carte. The choices are varied, both on the meat and fish side. The cuisine is rather classic, but excellent. You can eat sea bream, pikeperch, home-cooked fish soup like everything else, duck, Vendée ham with mogettes, frog legs, snails or eels among others. The wine list and the aperitif list also offer a good choice. The dishes are correctly garnished and well presented, flattering the eye before the palate! The boss works alone in the kitchen and the waitress, who must be his wife, serving is perfect. We had wanted to go there in July 2023 when we booked the Collibert for the month of August, but in season, it was full, including on the terrace you have to book in advance. Already today in the month of October, we were able to count more than 20 people until our departure. Damvix is ​​a charming little village in the Poitevin marshes, in Vendée 85. We recommend this restaurant with pleasure.

Une belle étape culinaire au cœur du Marais Poitevin dans le charmant village de Damvix. Cuisine classique mais goûteuse. Dommage qu'il n'y avait plus d'anguilles à la carte ce soir là, nous étions venus exprès pour ce plat typique de la région. Service un peu long et accueil moyen.
