from the outside it doesn't look like a restaurant but when you go inside you are surprised 😲 it's magnificent and very large, whether it's the welcome, the service and the cooking, preparation of the entry to the dessert everything is homemade and it's very good.
It is a good address to recommend.

Easy to park.
Welcoming and smiling staff.
Fast service.
However, I recommend booking before coming because there are a lot of people.

As a poster at the entrance says, a place that doesn't show off, that doesn't make any fuss, but that does the essentials: quality home cooking!
We will come back, for sure!
Only downside: no veggie dishes.

While passing through Royan we came to eat at La Gargote.. Very clean restaurant. Very well received, all the staff were very friendly at the top 👍.. Excellent home-cooked food. copious plates and beautiful presentation.. We enjoyed ourselves.
