La Gerbe d’Or sur Le Mans

Mixed feelings after a lunch break. The raisin bread was good, but the Reblochon "pizza" was very bad, with a distinctly stale taste.

The galette des rois is delicious! Nicely filled and not greasy! The traditional chocolate croissants are very good 😋

Excellent bakery and pastry shop in Le Mans! La Gerbe d’Or offers high-quality products: crusty breads, delicious pastries, and especially generously filled, fresh, and flavorful sandwiches. It's truly excellent value for money. The service is quick and professional. A must-visit that I recommend without hesitation.

I've been ordering Christmas logs for several years now, and they're always very good. Well done this year on the cheesecake one! The frangipane galette was nice and thick, but just a touch too boozy.

After making numerous purchases at this bakery over the past few years, it's clear that the product presentation remains impeccable and the labeling is always clear. Beyond that, you can indulge in the many delicious pastries on offer, such as the breads, which are both crusty and soft. And what about the raspberry doughnut, the Black Forest cake, or the homemade cake? A true delight. The prepared dishes are, as always, expertly cooked. For dessert, I recommend the crème brûlée, which is perfectly melt-in-your-mouth. One drawback, however, is the service: while efficient, it can sometimes be a bit chilly and noticeably lacking in a friendly smile.

This place propose a lot of delicacies but the service is bad. The employees look always angry and there's a lack of politeness. Moreover they have to stop taking the food like some bread or cake directly with their hands without gloves. It's not hygienic. Options exist to make it better

The waitresses are friendly and welcoming. The pastries are delicious, as are the pastries. Today, a delicious sourdough bread, perfectly crispy. I recommend it.
