I thought it was better than the current Google review rating of 3.5 stars. We visited mid-October 2024 during a very well spell. We sat under one of the many umbrellas outside La Girouette, an old restaurant in the square in the centre of Carcassonne. The service was fairly prompt, the table was already laid, we were handed a couple of menus, for drinks and for food. Five minutes or so later and the waitress returned and took our order. A glass of rosè wine, a 25cl Grimbergen beer and two cassoulet dishes for our meals. A small basket of bread arrived shortly afterwards, and then two bowls of bubbling cassoulet. They smelt lovely and were very tasty. Our dog enjoyed a small portion too 😀. There was plenty of pieces of pork and a sausage , maybe two. It was very good especially on a damp and rather miserable day. The waitress, who was kept fairly busy by a steady flow of customers, was very pleasant. Our meal came to just over £30, so it wasn't too bad value for money. The cassoulet dishes were €13.80 each, not too bad for a main course. Pleasant staff, meals served quickly and of good quality

We did not eat there, only enjoyed the cocktail bar 🍸 Delicious An extremely kind waitress. A very good address.

Nice place and good food. A plate of salad with fries and confit duck legs, 1 scoop of ice cream €20. Price quality in the city of Carcassonne is very correct. Go for it !!!

The rating is largely underestimated, I was very well received, everything I ate was very good and well prepared, even the waiting time announced for the cassoulet was largely respected. In short, nothing to complain about except that the place was a little quiet for my taste but that must probably be due to the location. I therefore highly recommend

Un peu de calme en pleine saison, une terrasse au bord d'une place un peu à l'écart du monde. Rapport qualité-prix satisfaisant au vu de la période de pleine saison.

Sortie en famille lors de la visite de la cité de Carcassonne. Un repas pour 5 personnes, menu du midi à tarif raisonnable. Le cadre est superbe et en zone ombragée en cette journée de canicule fort appréciable. Côté assiettes, Mention spéciale pour la bière brune locale. Des plats copieux et bon. Un cassoulet excellent et copieux. Un menu enfant fait maison très bon. Un burger césar fort sympathique et une belle portion de frite maison. Les gourmands auront opté pour des desserts. Gaufre maison, crème brûlée, brioche pain perdu et glaces. Il y a beaucoup de choix en restauration autour, n'hésitez pas pour cette adresse.
