La Gourmandine sur Chatillon-Sur-Chalaronne

A very pleasant restaurant; the interior is beautiful and the waterfront terrace is fantastic. The dishes are generous and of very high quality. I highly recommend the homemade country pâté, which is divine.

A truly beautiful, surprising, and unique place. The welcome and service were professional and friendly. The regional cuisine was simple yet delicious, made with fresh ingredients. The portions were generous. I particularly enjoyed the goat cheese bouchons. I should also mention that the cocktails were delicious, especially the Violet Fizz. We will gladly return and highly recommend this restaurant.

Calm... Delicious... Surprising... Perfect! A lovely evening dinner by the Chalarone River in a setting typical of the region. This is a place that should be on everyone's must-try list. The flavor combinations are well-balanced, the menus are authentic, and the service is handled with a smile and efficiency. In short, a gem to add to our list of hidden culinary treasures in our region.

So, for our table, everything was impeccable. The sunny weather allowed us to enjoy the shaded riverside terrace with the ducks adding a touch of bucolic charm between courses. The €7 non-alcoholic fruit cocktails were excellent and not overloaded with ice. The plate of fried gougnots to accompany our meal was a delight. We watched the generous and appetizing homemade charcuterie boards go by. We ordered tender and flavorful beef and perfectly cooked boneless trout. The fries were also delicious, and what can I say about the gourmet coffee and the simply superb desserts? A bill of €110 seemed justified for this lovely spring moment on a Saturday lunchtime, April 18th, a day of extended market days. The restaurant was fully booked, a sign of its good reputation. The staff is also very friendly. We discovered this restaurant because we are from Lyon, and we will be back. The menu is limited in choice, but that's a sign of using only fresh products. 👍

The welcome, service, and setting were excellent. The food, wines, and cheeses were very good, although the desserts included with the gourmet coffee were slightly less impressive. We highly recommend it!
