01/07/2026: A very nice restaurant with friendly service. We were there for lunch with our children; the food was delicious and reasonably priced. We would gladly come again.
27/06/2026: A wonderful discovery during this late June weekend! A lovely restaurant, very pleasant service, and smiling staff (which is so refreshing). The market menu is very well-thought-out and worth the price, as is the very original tuna tartare.
I highly recommend it to anyone living in the area or passing through. Best of luck and thank you to the whole team!

29/03/2026: Today, during a short stop in Châtillon-sur-Chalaronne, we stopped to eat at this small restaurant. We received a very warm welcome, the lasagne was excellent, and the mini dessert was a very nice idea.

29/06/2026: Fantastic experience! We were warmly welcomed, the staff were friendly, smiling, and very helpful. There was a good selection on the menu, the food was excellent, we thoroughly enjoyed it, and the chef was top-notch.
29/06/2026: During a weekend filled with memories in our childhood village, my sister and I stopped at this restaurant, and we absolutely don't regret our choice.
We tried the frogs' legs, a local specialty, and they were simply excellent! The food was generous and full of flavor.
The setting is magnificent, on the banks of the Chalaronne River, ideal for a pleasant meal. A big thank you also to the waitress for her kindness and smile, as well as to the chef for her excellent work.
A truly wonderful place that we highly recommend. We will definitely be back!

10/07/2026: A very bad experience. We waited an hour and a half only to end up not getting any food, and the waiter was extremely unpleasant when we left.
The tables were marked as reserved when they weren't at all. There were many waiters, but they were completely disorganized.
15/06/2026: I gave my first review in July 2025, which was very positive and 5 stars.
I went back in June 2026; we were a large group at lunchtime.
Food: very good and reasonably priced.
Service: there was an error in taking our order, we were served undercooked meat, and a Coke that seemed to have already been opened or was expired because it wasn't fizzy at all. Although the staff remained quite friendly, they were rather inattentive in their service. It's a shame because it's a good restaurant.
€27 for a main course, dessert, and drink.
Between noon and 2 pm, don't go if you're in a hurry.

13/12/2025: Ugur restaurant offers kebabs and generously filled platters at reasonable prices.
I enjoyed my meal there many times before finally summoning up the courage to write this review.

Galettes et beurre salé

04/06/2026: We went to listen to some live Jazz (retrospective about Michel Legrand with a pianist and a French singer) in this very cozy little club where you are anywhere in the room at about 6 feet max from the musicians.
So it's worth every minute if you choose the artist you like: I went there about 5 times and it was a home run each time.
Have a drink before and even during the show served by a nice cocktail waitress.
The great thing is that the early show starts around 7 pm which gives you plenty of time to go and dine afterwards and get home before it's too late. The shows usually last about one hour and a half.

Cheap food & drinks to the point it was so affordable for all of us to have MANY beers, cocktails & pizzas.
Fantastic atmosphere.
Come for pre-Jazz/jam drinks found upstairs. We were lucky seats were available, otherwise I would highly advise to pre-book.

31/08/2024: Arrived at the restaurant at 12:15 p.m. We had the honor of seeing a waitress at 12:45 p.m. who had just come to take our drink order!!!! 30 minutes of waiting just to drink!!!! This one explains to us that another waitress will come to take the order but she doesn't know when???? But what is certain is that it was not the result!!!!!
What an organization!!!! A disaster!!! We therefore left by the lack of professionalism of this establishment and other customers did the same...
24/08/2024: Catastrophic Saturday lunchtime. Arriving at 11:30 a.m. for a drink, we were offered a table to eat.
12:30 no order taken, no drinks. We ask what their white wine is, staff only know how to answer “I’m coming”. 10 minutes later still nothing, we unfortunately left without having eaten.
Too bad for a market day.

11/09/2025: We only had lunch at the restaurant, not staying at the hotel.
The meal was okay, but nothing special.
Definitely, don't order the tiramisu, as it's a very dry biscuit that hasn't been dipped in Marsala coffee. It's disappointing.
08/09/2025: Beautiful hotel with a lovely garden and pool. Parking is available within their gate. However, breakfast is served at their other location, a 5-minute walk away. A good breakfast with a wide selection costs €18. It's located in the village center, very central.

27/07/2024: A correct choice of cheeses, all very good for what we chose, some pleasant nuggets, but Madam Manager, after consultation, you are professional but despite some attempts to relax the atmosphere, not very smiling (and I moderate the comments of my friend who was with his daughter). A vague feeling that we were disturbing you.
This is the only downside, shared by other customers, when reading the other reviews.
