An absolutely incredible experience at La Grange in Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer I came for dinner with my partner and everything was simply perfect. From start to finish, we were captivated! The dishes were delicious, flavorful, and prepared with care—a true delight for the taste buds. But beyond the food, the entire experience deserves to be highlighted: the warm welcome, the professionalism of the team, their ability to adapt and respond to our requests… We truly felt valued and well received. A huge thank you also to the owner, whose kindness and genuine warmth are rare. It's the kind of place where you feel comfortable, where you want to return again and again. We will definitely be back and wholeheartedly recommend this place! An address not to be missed.

A barn worth the detour 🐂🌾 After my whirlwind tour of the region, a gourmet stop was essential to recharge in the heart of the Camargue: off to La Grange in Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer. From the moment we arrived, the decor was far from resembling a simple barn: the atmosphere was warm, wood-paneled, and refined. We felt completely at ease after a long day working in the fields! The service was equally authentic, friendly, and efficient, just like the local Camargue cowboys. Without further ado, the menu arrived. We opted for the tasting menu at €24.90, including a starter, main course, and dessert. The promise of a true feast right near the barn. I began the meal with a fish soup. The portion was generous and of high quality. Croutons, cheese, and rouille perfectly complemented this rich, velvety soup with its distinctive character. For the main course of dinner, the traditional homemade bull stew (gardianne de taureau) was a must! From the first bite, I could taste the delicate flavor of this meat, tamed after hours of slow cooking. The generous jus and perfectly cooked local rice complemented everything flawlessly! The 120-150g portion of meat was perfectly sized for this tasting menu. For those with a bigger appetite, I encourage you to try the à la carte dish; you won't be disappointed. Now for the finishing touch: homemade chocolate mousse. A family recipe with a light yet intense texture, reminiscent of flavors from yesteryear. A sweet and indulgent final touch that perfectly satisfied me, without me needing to add anything extra. The meal was expertly executed from start to finish, offering excellent value for money for this complete menu. In the end, I can only recommend this stable for your next wild culinary adventures 😉

I recommend this restaurant, I ate an excellent bull steak, tender and melting in your mouth! Welcoming waiter.

Excellent meal, very warm welcome, nothing to complain about, we had a great time

For the €24.90 menu, we started with a plate of cured ham, which was very good, and I had oysters, which were fine. However, the main course, the bull stew, was not very good, even mediocre, and unfortunately, I ordered mussels marinière that were overcooked and therefore very dry cuttlefish. It's a real shame. So, we have mixed feelings, or rather, very mixed feelings.

The €24.90 set menu: It could have been good, until the dish arrived with only four squid! That's really not much! I hope that's not the usual portion! It's a shame, the rest was decent.

We went there twice for dinner just before Easter. Both times it was packed (most of the competition still hasn't woken up from its winter slumber). The menu was very tasty and offered good value for money.
