The decor is unusual, the staff in costume. No particular atmosphere. Classic dishes, but well-prepared. Warm welcome from the owner. Set menu, you get the impression you'll get too much, but not at all. A 15cl glass of wine or apple juice as an aperitif is a bit stingy. However, allow 2 hours. The "foudres" (a type of small, round cake) are distributed sparingly, so you might have to wait 15 minutes to continue your starter. They bring you the main course you haven't finished, the rillettes, because they've run out of "foudre," and so on. The cheese course arrives before you've been refilled with "foudres" to finish the rillettes and mogettes... And then they give you one "foudre" each! The waitress was unpleasant. We had the misfortune of saying we thought we'd been forgotten, and we received three consecutive remarks. She practically crushed the "foudres" in the basket with a curt "Is that all right with you?" in a very appropriate tone. If it hadn't been a set menu, we would have left. The staff were running around like crazy, you could feel the tension. At the beginning of the meal, I wanted to come back with my husband, but I definitely won't be going back!

We were transported back to the time of the lords. Everything was authentic, even the menu: refined cuisine and fouée, a type of bread we hadn't seen before, just like in the old days. We loved the meal! 👍😉

I came this Sunday, May 10th, for lunch and to introduce three of my friends to the fouée specialty (they were very happy with it). However, I was very disappointed by the enormous wait between the cheese course and dessert. I had to call the young waiters over, who were rather slow, which is a shame. Otherwise, everything was perfect, as usual.

Don't hesitate! Everything is perfect: the setting, the chef's cuisine, and the very kind waitress in period dress. We thoroughly enjoyed the local menu served with a local wine included in the price. A peaceful dinner by candlelight.

A Restaurant of Two Faces It's hard not to have mixed feelings after a visit to this establishment. On the one hand, the cuisine is simply remarkable: flavorful, beautifully presented dishes made with quality ingredients and showcasing true culinary skill. Each plate is a delight, and you can sense the chef's expertise. Unfortunately, this excellent impression is largely marred by the service. During our visit, the waitress seemed completely overwhelmed, which can happen, but her attitude made the experience unpleasant. Inattentive, sometimes abrupt, even bordering on rude, she failed to create a welcoming or relaxed atmosphere. This is all the more regrettable because the quality of the food deserves far better. With service to match, this restaurant could be a truly excellent choice. As it stands, we left with mixed feelings: won over by the cuisine, but put off by the service.

Well done. overall food was excellent and included lots of local produce including wine from nearby chateau. The courses were small but divine and there were enough of them to be an enjoyable amount of food also waiters were polite and helpful and food waits weren’t that long. Discovered this unique restaurant for lunch. An extraordinary set menu, generous portions, and a special mention for the dessert—the best crème brûlée we've ever had! A simple yet charming medieval atmosphere and delightful service! We highly recommend it!

A wonderful evening in this timeless restaurant that transports you back to the Middle Ages. Everything was perfect: the service, the food, the welcome. The set menu was very generous for a very reasonable price. If you're passing through, stop by for a delicious meal.
