La Guinguette sur Dijon

A lovely little restaurant where the dishes are simple and generous, run by a gentleman who is as good at cooking as he is at serving, and who is also very pleasant. This place is what you might call a great find, and we'll gladly return!

Simple cuisine, gratins, omelets, or ribeye steaks, good and extremely generous portions... a vintage 50s-70s atmosphere. The restaurant is tiny, but absolutely worth seeing for its unusual charm, and the owner is very friendly. You'll be surprised... and it's not very expensive either.

So yes, you don't come here expecting fine dining, and yes, the welcome is limited to a simple "hello" and "welcome." But if you dig a little deeper, you discover a man who runs his restaurant single-handedly, incredibly kind, who certainly makes generous portions—perfect for big eaters—but who immediately lets you know that you can take home a doggy bag. We ate very well, the atmosphere is friendly, and we will gladly return.

An unusual restaurant with 80s decor and (discreet) music. I was a little surprised at first by the size and layout, but the owner was friendly. The portions were enormous, and the owner provided a doggy bag, which meant I could have one or even two extra meals at home. I had a great time with my family; it's a nice change from chain restaurants 😁

We booked this restaurant by chance after reading online reviews. What a pleasant surprise! It's a very unusual restaurant, located in an inner courtyard, not easy to find, but what a surprise when you walk through the door! The owner is shy at first, but we ended up chatting with other customers at other tables. He joined in our conversations; it was very friendly, a really great time. The menu—or rather, the menu—is a school notebook, super original. The portions are very generous, and the owner even gives you a doggy bag to take home the leftovers. We'll definitely be back! A must-try!
