Just had a drink one evening, didn't try the food so no opinion. The atmosphere was like a Saturday night in summer, friendly.

We've been there several times. The service is pleasant and the setting is lovely, with a terrace overlooking the lake. The savory dishes are good, but the desserts are very average, which is a shame!

Quick and pleasant service on a Sunday evening without a reservation; the half duck breast was very good, the cheese plate was a bit small for the price, but otherwise nothing to complain about.

Lovely, cozy garden restaurant. Attentive and friendly service, excellent value for money.

A wonderful evening! The staff and owner are fantastic: smiling, friendly, and helpful. We were very well received (group of 12), the atmosphere was superb, the setting very pleasant, and the food delicious. A big thank you to the whole team at La Guinguette!

The waiter was polite and pleasant the first time I went, but on subsequent visits I waited a very long time before anyone bothered to take my order, while the staff chatted and laughed at the counter. Furthermore, they don't respect the closing times; twice I went around 10 pm and it was closed, even though it's supposed to close at 1 am! It's located in a nice area.

Late August 2026: Passing through Châteauroux for one night, we walked around the lake and stopped for a drink at the Guinguette. We ordered two drinks and a sugar waffle. My wife was more than disappointed with the waffle, which was definitely frozen because it was still cold inside ☹️ (she should have sent it back, but she didn't want to make a fuss 🫤). Furthermore, two minutes after being served, my wife, who was eating, was interrupted by the waitress who asked us to pay the bill immediately 🤨 (She was perhaps afraid we'd leave without paying 🧐). Given these circumstances, we had planned to have dinner there that evening but changed our minds 🤔. It's a shame to be located in such an idyllic setting near a lake and stream and that the brand doesn't live up to expectations 👎.
