Yes of course it's La Brasserie d'Obernai and yes that's perhaps what hurts a little I have the impression of having already known better well of course it's an institution...the setting is exceptional ok we are in Obernai more classic Alsatian you die. But hey...I was left hungry at all levels...and if you take Riebs, don't take them cold, a sauce that's way too sweet, a little brownish...well, in short, the fries were good. Sorry soon it might be worse...or not...

So yes, all the images of Alsace are there, all the dishes are good and generous and it’s a pleasure when that’s what you want: typical, 100% Alsatian! The great idea is to have placed a camera on the roof of the restaurant which allows us to follow on a large screen placed in the restaurant room the life of a stork and its little one live while we enjoy a good sauerkraut. .

Hmmm, ok... sauerkraut with meat... then there were four sausages and two pieces of bacon... well... it was ok... but not great

I can't fully understand all the bad reviews. We were in Obernai in March shortly before Easter, I immediately liked this place, we have 2 dogs and one of them is very old and sits in a stroller, a kind of buggy for dogs, when we asked the waitress she was very nice to us We were led to a table where there was enough space for our dogs. The food was very tasty. What some people expect from such a rustic restaurant makes me laugh, before you go in and sit down and expect that you can only eat coffee and cake, you see that it is not a tea room but a restaurant, in every corner of France there is everything possible , tea room and pastry shop, creperie, brasserie for small appetites and then also restaurants like this. If this place were bad there wouldn't be so many French people eating there, believe me, I only go into places if I see locals eating, tip from me 😉
