La Kinkerne sur Morzine

Great hotel, in a perfect location. Host was very hospitable and charming. Looked after us from start to finish. Rooms basic but very comfortable and clean.

We booked the apartment to stay in and a couple of extra rooms and it was quite lovely. In the apartment there were two double bedrooms with a shower room, separate room for the toilet, an open plan kitchen, dining and living area where there was a sofa bed as well. And 2 balconies overlooking the mountains. There was a microwave, fridge, a stove and plenty of utensils, cutlery, plates and cups to use. It was also nice they provided with some salt and sugar. It was at some point quite cold, there was no thermostats around which was a downside. The triple room and the double room (not the apartment) we booked were quite small so something to bare in mind. The hotel was very close to the cable car to head up to the mountains where we could ski. And right next to the bus stop which headed down to the town centre, a bonus that it was free too. The owner spoke only French so there was a language barrier but he was very friendly and helped us out whenever we needed.

The room was basic but spacious with everything one would need on a ski break. Whilst there were some 'lost in translation' moments with the owners they were very kind and accommodating. The location is fantastic with it being within 2-3 mins of Prodains cable car, but do keep in mind meal options are fairly limited in the nearby vicinity. All in all it is an excellent value for money and I would not hesitate to return.
