La Lune Poivre sur Sarlat-La-Caneda

Oh, I just love this bar. A must visit. We stumbled across this location (up a steep side street), and found a true local establishment of charm and eccentricity. Unpretentious and casual, you order at the bar, sit wherever, and feel at home. The staff was delightful, the dog amusingly unfriendly (but also very well managed in a separated space), and the local blond beer was fresh and absolutely delicious. Don't expect to be pandered to any rudeness tolerated, but instead your good manners will bring out a fantastic local experience that you will remember. Thank you so much for your great hospitality (twice, as we had to visit a second time!)

We had a small glass of dry white Muscadet sur lie, which went very well with our figs stuffed with foie gras, while waiting for the restaurant scheduled for 9pm

While strolling through the narrow streets of Sarlat, we stumbled upon this charming little café with a very pleasant owner and bartender. So much so that we stopped by every evening. A truly wonderful discovery!

I read in the comments that people would come back to Sarlat just to experience the Pepper Moon again, and I think there's no better way to describe the place! Thank you for the warm welcome!!

Looking for a nice place to have a drink, a local recommended this unique spot. The owner, Franck, and his waiter gave me a warm welcome. The place, located on a small pedestrian street, is superb. I had a great time chatting with them and the other customers. Go there!

At Café Lune, we had a simple yet heartwarming experience. Franck, the owner, deeply touched us. His kindness was rare, genuine, and he offered excellent advice. You immediately sense that he loves people and enjoys sharing with them. People talk, exchange ideas, laugh… You feel wonderfully at ease there, like you're among friends.
