Excellent restaurant!
I greatly appreciated the impeccable service. It embodies the hallmarks of fine dining (attention to detail, excellent timing) but without the usual frills. It's refined, genuine, and very welcoming.
The same exacting standards are evident on the plate: elegant presentations that conceal a beautiful complexity. The perfect balance of flavors and the precise seasoning are every bit as good as Michelin-starred restaurants. A very beautiful, bright dining room with plenty of space...

You have to go upstairs to discover a chaotic display of decorations in a wooden setting; it's a visual mess... it feels like everything is lying around, nothing is in its place
View of the outside or an open kitchen where numerous staff members are working, some of whom seem to be there just for show
Welcome by the owner, and it's the chef himself, very relaxed, who takes the menu order
Numerous amuse-bouches arrive before the wine and water
Surprisingly, the service is quick and efficient, aided by a clearing robot
Three menus to choose from, including a surprise menu

Hello, I was seated today for a quick and impromptu lunch with my partner. We had 50 minutes and were blown away. The starters were remarkable, the amuse-bouches elegant, each with its own unique texture.
The fish dishes were superb. The pineapple dessert with a perfectly chilled sorbet was delicious—I love a touch of tartness. The head waiter and servers were professional and charming. I appreciated the hostess.
We will definitely be back for a longer lunch.

We had a lovely time at Restaurant La Madeleine. The service was generally very pleasant, and the dishes were of good quality and well-prepared.
However, a few things need improvement: the wine wasn't served/poured on time, and the bottle had been placed on a nearby table, preventing us from serving ourselves. In the end, we felt the wine wasn't even fully poured, which is a shame since it was a paid item.
The most disappointing aspect was the lack of attention to detail: I had specified when making the reservation (and reiterated by phone) that it was my wife's birthday, and I was assured that this would be taken into account. Yet, at the end of the meal, no small gesture (candle, note, etc.) was offered. It's a pity, because with better attention to these details, the experience could have been so much better!

What can you say about a perfect experience? That the location is ideal, the welcome warm without being intrusive, and the attention to guests' well-being numerous and genuine? That the cuisine is an incredible feat of finesse and flavor? That the wines perfectly complement everything? It wouldn't really add much, so just go!

A truly wonderful experience. We had dinner there this past Thursday. I was a little worried about having to park far away because I couldn't see any parking on Google Satellite. And it doesn't seem to be mentioned anywhere on the website, but the restaurant does have its own parking lot, reserved for customers. It's right next to the restaurant. And it's a stunning space, upstairs, at the tip of a very peaceful island on the banks of the Yonne River. We received a very warm welcome with our little dog. We were seated very quickly; all the tables have a beautiful view of the panoramic bay window and the open kitchen at the back. Everything was delicious; one dish was slightly too salty, but perhaps that was intentional. The service is a tad fast; you just want to linger at your table. A pat of salted butter is offered on each table (and it will be waiting for you at the register to take home if you haven't finished it). The amuse-bouches were delicious and plentiful; the foie gras was perfect with its mushrooms, and the fish with its incredible saffron-infused mussel jus. The mille-feuille, a modern take on the classic, was finished with a delicate cloud of vanilla. And of course, there were plenty of petit fours and a warm madeleine—a little reminder that we'll be back. Thanks also to the very attentive and efficient service. Bravo!

A truly wonderful culinary discovery! The dishes are remarkably refined, the flavors blend perfectly, and each plate is a true work of art. The chef truly deserves his star.
However, the setting could do with a little updating, and the overall ambiance could benefit from being warmer. Despite this, the dining experience remains exceptional and worth the detour.
It's a shame the decor and ambiance don't live up to the chef's talent.
