A lovely, tastefully decorated restaurant where you can eat very well for a reasonable price. The set menu is €18.50 with four choices for a main course, a drink, and coffee. The service was excellent; the lady was incredibly kind and gentle. We were just passing through, but if we're ever in the area again, we'll definitely come back to eat there.

Perfect! We received a very warm welcome from Magali, who is very friendly and smiling (the new owner). The atmosphere was very warm and cozy. The amuse-bouche, a creamy asparagus soup, was a delight. The lamb shank confit with honey and rosemary (cooked to perfection) with its Sarlat-style potatoes was delicious, as was the sliced ​​duck breast (cooked to perfection) with its red fruit sauce and homemade mashed potatoes—a real treat. For dessert, chocolate mousse and French toast, the kind my grandmother used to make, with salted caramel and a scoop of ice cream. A very good meal and impeccable service. We had a lovely time. 07/01/2026: We had lunch there 4 times during a visit to the family in Valenciennes this summer. Last time was 2 years ago. The food is really delicious and very copious. Even me who have a big appetite, I was challenged to finish my plates. (You can see the size from the pictures) They have local specialties like Maroilles sauce, a must try! French fries hand it, homemade so good. For desert, I love the chocolate mousse. The service is casual relaxed and friendly. I highly recommend and will be back for sure when I go to Valenciennes.
18/12/2025: First time at this restaurant and what a treat! The staff serving are very friendly and smiling, and the food is absolutely delicious. I will gladly return to try the rest of the menu, which is very varied, and to enjoy another pleasant meal.
