I have mixed feelings about my experience at La Maison Carrier.
We ordered à la carte and an aperitif.
I ordered a glass of rosé champagne, and the waiter made a mistake (it happens). He corrected it, but another waiter removed our platter of appetizers while we hadn't finished and our glasses were still full. A few moments later, our main courses arrived, even though we hadn't finished our aperitif, which hadn't arrived for over fifteen minutes. We mentioned this, but the waiter didn't take the plates away.
We didn't press the issue, but unfortunately, it spoiled a large part of our meal.
Otherwise, no complaints. The food was refined and delicious. The staff was friendly and plentiful.

This was my fifth time in 15 years dining at Maison Carrier, so I have a perspective over many years. It is no small feat to maintain such a high level of cuisine, wine choices (e.g., that are not over-priced) and service that has always been helpful, friendly and a joy throughout the meal (they didn’t disappear after the desserts). Leah was our server last evening and our table was upstairs so she had to work extra hard. She did it politely, professionally and with charm. And finally, grandma’s dessert tower is still top notch and something you won’t find in very many restaurants, certainly at this level. I’ll definitely return to Maison Carrier without hesitation.

A legendary, magnificent place with truly delicious food. We came twice in a row and despite a frosty welcome from the hostess on the second night, our two waitresses each evening were attentive, professional and lovely.

For 25 years we have enjoyed celebrating family events and holidays at Maison Carrier and are never disappointed. After missing a year we were back and delighted to see that nothing has changed. It’s a difficult time for restaurants and some of our other favourites have closed or lowered their standards whereas Maison Carrier remains first class.
Needless to say the food was delicious, the ambiance lovely and the many staff continue to deliver fantastic professional service with a delightful informality and humour.

Simply fantastic – a peaceful oasis away from the hustle and bustle, with a view of Italy's highest mountain 😉. Definitely order the set menu.

You'll never be disappointed.
